Manik by Amo Jones

I wasn't sure if I would like this book but I bought it anyway and did in fact enjoy it immensely.  The book is well written and full of different twists that are completely unexpected and completely loved.

I did have problems with the book though.

I know not all authors use the same terms but in this book I had a hard time with the Russian Mob part of the book, the terms used and pretty much everything else.  Pakhan is a title and in this book it seems like it is used as the persons name, is one example.  Another is the Pen, it just seems a little random.  Besides those two things there are terms used for the Russian Bratva in this book like 'capo' is not a Russian term but is used for the Russian mob.  It was the small things like that that I had issues with but the small details are important to the story too so they should be correct.  There is the term 'Vor' that is never really described and then the fact that the one person has about three or four different names that he is called or referred to as.

Collard by the Badman Russian Bratva book 11 by Hayley Faiman

This book was amazing, it seemed to have one twist after another and I really enjoyed that.  There were some sad parts but they made the book more realistic and even better.  This is my third favorite in the series and was completely unexpected until it was announced.  I was really happy reading this book and I wish there was a little more angst in it since there wasn't very much, if any.  I can't wait for the next book that she writes, I wish this series didn't have to end though and that Sergei and Raisa's story was longer than it was even though it was a long book.

Flamed With Courage Hayley Faiman Cash Bar Book 3 Notorious Devils Spin off Series

This book was amazing.  Free was an asshole at times but I still liked him a hell of a lot more than I did Crooner.  It seemed like they had sex a lot in this book, like in every chapter almost.  The book was awesome though, the different twists that it head were completely unexpected and kept the book more and more intriguing.
Some parts felt rushed, like in the end when they are looking for Free, I feel like that could have been a little more detailed and extended but that's just me.

The little added on book at the end with Gracie and Skinner was really appreciated but I wish it was longer.  It added to the book, made it happier which was fairly good.

To Command and Collar book 6 Masters of the Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

This book is fairly decent but reading it took forever because there were parts where it just seemed to drag on and on and on.  Like one of those books that feels never ending because you look and are at 93% and then it never seems to go past that stage.

The book is good though, very emotional at times, but still good.  My favorite part is actually with the dog close to the end out of most of the book.  I also enjoyed when Raoul spoke in Spanish, I enjoyed learning the words.

Make Me Sir Masters of the Shadowlands book 5 by Cherise Sinclair

This is one of my favorite books, probably because of the brattiness in it which is amusing and light heartening at the same time.  Nothing in this book is wrong, all of it applies to different parts of a persons life, their interests, the dangers in the world.

I actually enjoyed how Z and Jessica have their perspectives in the book.  It doesn't really add to Marcus and Gabi's story but I don't think it takes away from it either.

Lean On Me book 4 Masters of the Shadowlands by Cherise Sinclair

Truth rings through these books in personal ways.  Becoming comfortable in your own skin, learning to work past your fears and trust in someone to help you, honesty and communication.  Each book has a lesson or a theme in it that applies to each sub in their own way.

They are eye opening and I find that aside from all the sex, but even some of that, the books can be fairly easy for the readers to relate to, at least in my opinion.

This book is number four in the on going series and I enjoyed it a lot.  Maybe it is just me but I think the books build off one another.  Like if you didn't have Kari's story then you wouldn't be able to have Cullen's.  Kari pushes Dan in ways that are similar to how Cullen pushes Andrea.  Completely different backgrounds and still there are similarities.

Breaking Free (Masters of the Shadowlands book 3) by Cherise Sinclair

I found this book to be emotional and all too real at times, especially when I got closer to the end.  It teaches good lessons though about the importance of honesty in a relationship and also trust.  If you don't have trust you don't have anything.

At the end, with the cop in the hospital, was infuriating.  How he assumed what happened was from a kink gone wrong but it was then amusing when he got put in his place.

Overall this was a good book that I would recommend so long as the reader doesn't have a weak stomach because some things are a little disturbing.

The strength of Beth is inspiring and wonderful.  Leaving a bad situation is never easy and although she did not succeed the first time she did not give up either.
